“It’s not enough to just put your cannabis products away,” Kelly from Parachute says to us in our meeting, “it needs to be put up high where kids can’t reach it, high and locked up!”
And what better way, we thought, to exemplify this behaviour then to chain an inflatable edible to the top of the CN tower. In the end, the dream of the inflatable edible was shelved for a phase two, but the visual was the basis for the campaign which launched as part of poison prevention week. When the campaign was subsequently rolled out across Canada, we wanted to make it compelling and relatable for each region and used the construct to feature heights applicable to the locality.
You don’t need to keep your edibles as high as the rocky mountains, but you do need to keep them high, locked, and out of reach of children.
